Review : A little too short but I expected that.
I have a Ruffwear coat for my 15 pound Havanese and think it's just fine. It's not needed much but I feel confident that it helps keep him warm. It's about two inches too short; I'd like to see it end at the base of his tail. Maybe dog coats don't do that. Regardless, I think that's just an aesthetic preference and I'm used to it. My new , 9 pound Havanese "needed" a coat and I went back to the same Oregon company. Now, the coat is made in Vietnam instead of the USA. Disappointing but at least it's not from China. It's still too short but I don't care. I just want to know that my dog can have an extra layer of warmth on those exceptionally cold days. I don't wish to take the time to find a USA made coat that is just the right length for my taste. The effort isn't worth it for a coat that will be brought about about 10 times a year. The coats are well constructed and fasten easily. They wash and wear very well.
